The Peru Missions Team will be holding a Yard Sale and Bake Sale on Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at Heritage House. All profits will go toward the expenses of the Mission Trip. Hosted at Heritage House in Odenville, this community gathering is a great opportunity to help a worthy cause and even find a great deal. Ballroom Dance lessons will be available at the fellowship hall on four to six Friday evenings in January and February. The tentative dates are scheduled on the church calendar.
Our teachers will be Curt and Wendy Johnnson. The cost is $5 per person per lesson. Attendance is open to the public, and you may pay at the door.

The Senior High Choir of Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis, TN will be presenting a concert at Christ Church on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at 7:00pm. This is the 18th annual summer tour of this choir, which is composed of approximately 30 students, grades 9-12, and accompanied by college and adult leaders. The group’s choral repertoire includes a diverse selection of styles, including sacred classical, hymns, folk, spirituals and popular sacred music. Several vocal and instrumental solos will also be featured in the 50-minute sacred program, which is followed by a short performance of choreographed popular selections, presented by the Senior High Ensemble. Trinity Presbyterian Church will be hosting TrinityFest this coming Lord’s Day, June 3rd, 2012 beginning at 5:00pm. Bluegrass music by Three on a String, food, fellowship, games and inflatable fun house for children.

We look forward to having Francis Foucachon in our pulpit this Lord’s Day morning (November 6th, 2011). Francis and Donna have been church planters in Quebec and in Lyon, France, and they currently reside in Moscow, Idaho. They are founders of Hugenot Heritage, a ministry to equip pastors in Europe.
The funeral for Tom Lee will be Sunday, May 1st at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea. Directions are on their website.

Our next Ladies’ Meeting will be Saturday, February 19. We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00-12:00 (or so) for brunch and a discussion on child rearing, spring boarding off Rachel Jankovic’s wonderful little book, Loving the Little Years: Motherhood in the Trenches. I have been so blessed, convicted, and encouraged by this book! I know you will be too! I look forward to our time together!
