This week’s men’s meeting will discuss Titanism. It will also include a review of last week’s Donatism. See you at the Vests!
The White’s will be having a birthday celebration honoring the Twins on the 19th after church. Everyone is invited to eat cake and celebrate.
Come on out for a two day Bluegrass Gospel Festival on Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th, 2010. The gates open at noon on Friday with bands playing until 9pm and Saturday the bands go from 10am-5pm. Afterward there will have a good old pickin’ session until… There are several bands scheduled to perform including: The Sparks Family from MS, the Ward Family from TN, Canaan’s Crossing, the Carrell Family, Stoney Road, the Galloways, the Travers Family, Old Valley Bluesgrass, and many more. The cost is free, but a suggested donation of $5 Friday and $10 Saturday for ages 16-70 is requested (all others are free). Food vendors will be on site with fried catfish, BBQ, cakes/pies, etc. Handicap parking is available. Bring your lawn chairs, but not your pets.
There will be local vendors on site with handmade crafts, etc. Any proceeds after the band costs will go toward the development of Ahava Springs – a facility promoting Biblical leadership and families (Ezra 8) – located at 1040 Sumatanga Road in Gallant, AL.
Directions:
From I-59 northeast of Birmingham, AL, take exit 166 (US-231) north 3.3 miles towards Oneonta. Turn right onto Gallant Road. Go 3.4 miles and turn right onto Sumatanga Road. Go 4 miles and Ahava Springs will be on your left.
